FM Lieberman Presents Cast Lead Investigation Report to Spanish FM
Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos met with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman soon after his arrival in Jerusalem on Monday. Lieberman gave him the report – “Gaza Operation Investigations: Update” – that Israel presented to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday that dealt with some of the war crimes allegations that appeared in the Goldstone Report.Spain abstained in the UN General Assembly vote last year that endorsed the report.“Israel is a democratic country that protects its citizens according to international law,” Lieberman said. “The IDF is the most moral army in the world, and this is manifest precisely in the way it deals with the very worst terrorists, when the IDF does everything possible not to harm innocent civilians whom Hamas uses as human shields.”(Jpost) ...

MK Rotem: Subcommittee to check foreign funds to Israeli organizations
Chairman of the Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee MK David Rotem declared his intention to form a subcommittee to check contributions to Israeli NGOs from foreign governments and organizations.MK Rotem said that such a subcommittee would not investigate specific organizations, but that a "thorough investigation of the system of receiving funds from foreign states is required." The Ministerial Committtee Approves MK Michaeli’s School Book Bill
On Monday MK Michaeli presented a bill to the Ministerial Committee seeking the banning of the sale of sets containing workbooks, CDs and textbooks together. MK Michaeli would like to see it “prohibited to sell packages like these that force parents to buy a new textbook just because they need the workbook.” Michaeli’s bill is the first step of a larger reform that will ultimately see school books free of charge to parents and children.
