Deputy FM Danny Ayalon explains that it is important for the Palestinians to recognize Israel as the Jewish State - not only when dealing with Israelis or other foreign leaders, but especially with their own people. Mr. Ayalon mentions Palestinian textbooks that erase Israel from the map. Mr. Ayalon would like to hear Palestinian leaders speaking of Israel as the Jewish State in Arabic - i.e. to their fellow people. This paradigm shift is fundamental to the prospects of peace.
