FM Liberman to EU: List Hizbullah as Terrorists

Published on: July 23, 2012

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman will ask European governments to list Hizbullah as a terror organization in the wake of last week’s terror attack on a bus carrying Israeli tourists in Bulgaria.

Liberman leaves for Brussels on Monday, where he will hold meetings with European foreign ministers.

He will meet with the European Union’s Foreign Policy Chief, Catherine Ashton, as well as with many  foreign ministers of various European countries.

During his meetings, Liberman will discuss strengthening ties between Israel and the EU, bilateral issues, and the developments in the Middle East and their impact on the region. In addition to asking EU countries to class Hizbullah as a terrorist organization, Liberman will request of the EU countries to intensify security measures at their airports and in Israeli and Jewish facilities.
